A woman had a shocking and disturbing experience when she discovered a decayed human finger segment inside a chocolate bar she had purchased from the hospital canteen where she worked. The incident came to light after she shared the details on X, formerly known as Twitter, along with a disturbing image of the severed human finger. The chocolate bar in question was manufactured by a local company. Reported by LycansEye
The post included an image of a black-colored human finger segment with a nail, accompanied by the caption, “This is a reminder to check your food before taking a bite.”

Upon making this unsettling discovery, the Sri Lankan woman immediately reported the incident to the local health department, prompting an investigation. Public Health Inspectors (PHI) subsequently seized other chocolate products produced by the same company.
According to health inspectors, the woman had initially consumed half of the chocolate bar and saved the rest in her refrigerator. When she attempted to consume the remaining portion, she encountered an unusually hard object while taking a bite. Initially assuming it was a type of “fruit and nut” chocolate, her suspicion grew as the object remained uncracked even with harder bites. Consequently, she decided to examine it under running tap water.
In response to the distressing find, the PHIs not only removed the specific variety of chocolate from store shelves but also plan to pursue legal action in relation to the incident.
The image shared on social media triggered feelings of disgust and horror among users, many of whom were eager to identify the brand of chocolate in question in order to report it to the appropriate authorities.
